Elida Villanueva born June 2, 1948 in Karnes City, Texas to Pablo DeLeon and Julia Morales DeLeon passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the age of 74 years. Mrs. Villanueva was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Villanueva, III. She is survived by her daughter, Veronica Villanueva; son, Manuel Villanueva, IV (Xochitl); daughter, Valerie Maldonado (Carlos Jimenez); and daughter, Virginia Villanueva; brothers, Pablo DeLeon, Mariano De Leon, Arturo DeLeon, Felix DeLeon, and Alfredo DeLeon; sisters, Adela Mascorro, Silbia Sosa, San Juana Velez, Maria Cerna, Lucy Ayala, and Lupe DeLeon; grandchildren, Michael (Inez), Sophia, James, Marissa (Elijah), Juliana, Marisol, Jorden, Mackenzie, CJ, Kayla, Karissa, Karisma, Kassidy, Kassandra, and Manuel V.; great-grandchildren, Emery, Michael, Jr., Urijah, Ava, and Hezekiah. Also numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives. Mrs. Villanueva loved spending time with family and preparing meals for them. At Christmas time everyone knew it was time for tamales. She loved going to her brothers and sisters houses to help them make their tamales. She also enjoyed playing Bingo with her sisters. Mrs. Villanueva will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at the Camero Funeral Home. A Rosary Service will be held Tuesday Evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel.
