Janie C. Rodriguez

July 25, 1948 - February 6, 2022

Janie Castillo Rodriguez was born on July 25, 1948 in Atascosa County and passed away peacefully at the Baptist Medical Center on February 6, 2022, at 2:35 a.m. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 73. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan & Teodora Castillo, husband Magdaleno G. Rodriguez, her brother's Juan Castillo Jr., Adolfo Castillo, & Alfredo Castillo; and by her sister's Lucia Gonzalez, Elvira Castillo, and Maggie C. Martinez. Janie was a loving mother remembered by her son, Randy Ray Rodriguez; daughters, Rachel Rose Perez and Roxanne Remedios Rodriguez; grandchildren, Randy R. Rodriguez, Jr., Mark A. Rodriguez, Tuezday N. De Leon, Isaac R. Rodriguez, Ezra D. Sedano, Ezekiel S. Gonzalez, Christopher N. Rodriguez, Andrew E. Perez, Elias J. Gonzalez, Anais E. Perez, Brandy L. Rodriguez, and Eero Y. Gonzalez. She is also survived by her brother's Narciso Castillo and Alberto Castillo; her sister's, Mary Gomez and Carmelita Vasquez; and five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to send a special thank you to all the friends and family for the continuous prayers and support. She departed after a difficult battle with illness and she will be remembered as a loving caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her greatest passions in life were helping others, tending to her flowers and plants and she will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved her. “We love you very much, Mom and it’s not goodbye…but until we meet again.” A Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday, February 24th, at the Mercy Church located at 8311 South Zarzamora Street in San Antonio, Texas at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow All are welcome to attend and celebrate Janie Rodriguez's life.
