Sosa and Juanita Perez- Sosa, Her grandfather, Edwardo Lagunas Perez, her brothers, Florentino P. Sosa, Victoriano P. Sosa, Hilberto P. Sosa, and Antonio P. Josephine is survived by her children, Noemi Hernandez (Reynaldo Hernandez), Mary Alice Ramos, Rose Ann Reyes, Jose Reyes, Enrique Reyes (Angelina Reyes), Guadalupe Leal (Joe Leal), Irene Solis (Gilbert Solis), and Angel Nanez, forty-one grandchildren, fifty-seven great grandchildren, and siblings Juanita Garcia, Paula Paredes (Ignocencio Paredes), Rosa Tristan, Maria Lopez (Juan Francisco Lopez), and Jose B. Sosa. She was a faithful believer in Christ, a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, working on her yard, and completing various art and craft projects such as making Valentine Day baskets, Mother’s Day arrangements, and cascarones for Easter. Easter was her favorite holiday as she loved the smell of bar-b-que on the pit, the bright and happy colors of Spring, and watching the family hunt for eggs while never forgetting to pop cascarones on each other. Josephine led her life by example. There was never a job too large or too small that she would not tackle. She was a strong, determined, and fiercely independent woman. In addition to raising nine children, she selflessly cared for her father and ensured he felt safe and loved during the last years of his life. We will miss her every day. A special thanks to Nurse Audrie, Social Work advocate Melissa, and Chaplin Mendez from La Diferencia Hospice for providing care in regards to the medical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of Josephine Nanez. A private funeral service is being held for Mrs. Nanez.
